Oxford Road Traders Put a Smile on your Face.

The Oxford Road Traders Association launched their Shoppers Smile Loyally Card to members of the public this weekend. The card enables holders to access a number of offers from local businesses, from health and fitness to computer repair, bespoke furniture, food and print services and much more.

 The launch took place amongst an eclectic collection of gazebo’s outside Tesco Extra on Portman Road, with displays from Melody Melody, Body and Brain, Forever, Mind, The Gym Group, Oxford Road Online Print and TMJ Designs. Cllr Sarah Hacker said on being presented with her Loyalty Card, “I am really pleased to see a loyalty card launched for the Oxford Road. The area offers a good variety of shops and services and enhances our community. I encourage local residents and businesses to get involved.”

The Oxford Road Traders Association had their inaugural meeting in March this year and aim to Improve the Trading Environment in the Oxford Rd area, by promoting businesses and the area, Reducing Overheads, Engaging the Community and by being a Representative Body for Traders

The weekends event saw over 300 loyalty cards distributed to visitors, Nathan Winyard Business Connector for Reading and Chair of the Oxford Road Traders Association had this to ad, “It’s great to see such a diverse range of businesses coming together for the benefit of the community and the area, which has so much to offer the people of Reading and further afield. I hope Reading’s residents will make use of the generous offers available and support independent and community minded businesses along the Oxford Rd.”

If you missed picking up your Loyalty Card they can be applied for online or collected from participating outlets.
